About the Service Trust Agreement

Introduction

This document is the same as our Independent Contractors Agreement. The only difference is that the questions are modified to fit the requirements of a Service Trust. It is for professionals or businesses that want to set up another business. That other business then provides services back to the core business. Thus profit and income is moved from the core business to the "other business".

The "other business" is called a Service Trust. The agreement you are about to start building is an Independent Contractors Agreement. It is the "glue" between your core business and the Service Trust.

Why do you need this agreement? Do I need to have a “Family Trust” or a “Unit Trust already in existence? Will it stand up to the Australian Tax Office scrutiny? Does your Accountant have discretion to change the “mark-ups” and the prices your Service Trust charges? All those questions and more are addressed and answered in the hints as you build the agreement.
