About the Change Trustee of Family Trust

What is the purpose of this document?

The purpose of this document is to formally change the trustee of your Family Trust. The safest way to update the trustee is by Deed of Variation.

The valid appointment of the trustee is crucial to the operation of the trust. Remember, the trustee is the legal owner of the trust property. The trustee must deal with the trust property according to the terms of the trust deed. They are also under strict statutory obligations.

Before a new trustee can be appointed, it makes sense that the old trustee must be removed. This document removes the old trustee and replaces it with the new trustee. Or you can merely remove Trustee(s), or you can add new Trustee(s).
